Music Tastes Good 2018

Long Beach played host to the third installment of Josh Fischel’s eclectic vision of a music and food festival, Music Tastes Good. On September 29 & 30, Downtown Long Beach saw a transformation as the streets were abuzz with locals and tourist alike who made their way down to the waterfront to share in good times with friends, new and old, as everyone came together for a star studded music lineup that included the likes of New Order, Broken Social Scene, Joey Bada$$, Santigold, Big Thief, Parquet Courts, Janelle Monae, James Blake, & many more. In a summer that saw the crash of local fan favorite music festivals like FYF & Outpost, Music Tastes Good pulled all the punches in crafting an event that stood on its music lineup alone, but thankfully they went above and beyond and acquired one of, if not the best, celebrity chef lineups to hit the West Coast. They stuck to the late Josh Fischel’s vision of bringing his loves of music, food, people, and Long Beach together for one last summer weekend, and for that we thank you.
